My wish list for 2013

2012 - World gonna end according to Mayan calendar. But it didnt. Good. Lot of wishes. Nice that instead of making a bucket list, I am making my wish list :P

Lot of things happened this year. Both good, bad and terrible. So my wishlist is about how I can lead a better enjoyable life in a better world. Some may not be realistic and that is my first wish "Being Realistic"

1. My work after MBA as Project Manager starts this year. So wish I learn new things which will help to build a successful career.
2. I wish to learn to survive in Mumbai. I should start loving vada pav and poha.
3. I wish no talks pop up in my home regarding my marriage.
4. I wish I could spend enough quality time with my old friends (a trip to ladakh :)
5. I wish to go to gym regularly ( I know I am fit. But still :P )
6. I wish to develop the habit of reading some books
7. I wish to learn to cook (atleast sambhar, rasam and some subji)
8. I wish to see Rajini's Kochadiyan on 1st day

Moving onto somethings other than my needs.

1. I wish khap communities think sense. Better get wiped out.
2. I wish proper bills are passed regarding rape. It is really sad to think that I am from a land which is worshiped as goddess and girls are getting raped daily.
3. I wish radical reforms are made to stabilize the economy and bring down inflation
4. I wish Gandhi family takes a step ahead and speaks on issues bothering the nation
5. I wish the politicians and bureaucrats are more responsible
6. I wish the Tamil Nadu power crisis ends

The list is endless. But that is human nature: to wish for more. Hope the coming year brings happiness and joy to everyone and let peace and love prevail.

Happy new year to everyone :)

My 26th Birthday Bash

It was 4th December again in my calendar. I turned 26 this time. This birthday was totally different for 2 reasons. One. This was my last birthday celebration in a college environment, if I am not destined to do another PG course again. Two. I started feeling for the first time that I am getting old and a feeling that I want to get settled soon swiped my mind. Its not like it stroked earlier. But this time it was bit harder.

Keeping aside these feelings, I enjoyed the day more than I ever thought. Thanks to all my well wishers. I am glad that my brother, cousins, friends and family showered all their love and blessings. It all started with typical birthday bash that one will imagine in a college. Birthday bumps and kicks inaugurated the day which made sure my voice is heard to my ancestors. It was followed by oil, paint and sauce bath. Thanks to my innovative and heartless friends who wanted me to look fair and colored. Also they made me wear a saree. I don't know how people get such weird ideas. Thanks to another friend Sudarshan who shared kicks with me as it was his birthday too. The whole basketball court was in vigor and merry mood. It all ended with me cutting a tasty cake and having some snaps.

Now the venue changed to hostel. I was welcomed to my wing with my friends tearing my T-shirt and making me enjoy the cold Pune weather bare. I was gifted a speaker system and was inaugurated with a tamil song kalasala. They made me dance and it was a happy occasion where everyone joined in.

Day started after a sound sleep at 11.30 AM. I had an awesome lunch at room from Ghar ka Khaana. Followed by a birthday bash from my director Subbu Sir himself. I was happy he didnt know its my birthday, else would have got more screwed.

The day ended with having a memorable time with friends at bolai and shapath celebration at 12.
It was a fun filled day that will be memorable. Thanks to all who made it a wonderful day for me.
